With Christmas fast approaching, I find it hard not to think of Uncle Robert's plate at our family Christmas dinners.  He is the only man I know that could heap his plate the way he did, eat every morsel without spilling a drop, wipe up the last of the gravy with a piece of bread and then do it all over again.

I don't know how old I was when he first came to live with us but I remember parts of it so clearly. I don't remember a time he was really mad at me.  He never raised his voice and I'll never forget his pet name for me.  Mr. Magoo.
